Queen’s Rangers
1st American Regt.
The Queen’s Rangers Historical Guard is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the life of the 18th century Loyalist soldier and Follower in North America during the American Revolution. We portray two companies, the first is a Light Company and the second is a Highland Company.
Each member of the Guard takes great pride in accurately representing the uniforms, drills, and daily routines of these historical figures. Through meticulous research and dedication, we strive to bring history to life for the public, offering educational programs, re-enactments, and interactive exhibits.
Our Light Company showcases the agility and versatility of soldiers who were adept at skirmishing and reconnaissance. They wear the distinctive green coats that allowed them to blend into their surroundings, a crucial advantage in the dense forests of the American wilderness.
The Highland Company, on the other hand, highlights the rich cultural heritage and fierce fighting spirit of Scottish Highlanders who joined the Loyalist cause. Dressed in traditional tartans and armed with broadswords and muskets, these reenactors bring to life the bravery and resilience of their ancestors.
